James Van Der Beek Filming New FX Show in Lower Hudson Valley
Think back to 1998 and what was formally the WB. Remember Dawson's Creek?
I mean, who doesn't? But if you weren't into cheesy TV shows about high school drama you probably weren't into Dawson's Creek. If you Google the show today, you'll see that Dawson's Creek is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
You'll also notice that basically all of the core cast has gone on to work in some pretty big productions.
Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson, Michelle Williams and James Van Der Beek played the core four characters of Joey Potter, Pacey Witter, Jen Lindley and, of course, Dawson Leery.
After celebrating, the actors all got back to work on separate projects. One of them is filming right here in the lower Hudson Valley.
Our source tells us that James Van Der Beek was working on a the upcoming FX show Pose earlier this week in Greenburgh down in Westchester. The production team and catering area was set up at Anthony Veteran Park's Community Room while filming took place at a residence nearby.
Pose, which is directed by American Horror Story's Ryan Murphy, will be set in the 1980s according to Deadline. It will tell the story of "several segments of life and society in New York: the rise of the luxury Trump-era universe, the downtown social and literary scene and the ball culture world."
James Van Der Beek is set to play a "financial kingpin boss." The show will also star Evan Peters (American Horror Story), Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) and Kate Mara (House of Cards).
Aside from the actors you may be familiar with, Pose is being billed as the "the largest transgender series regular cast ever for a scripted series" with the addition of five transgender actors.
