During the summer, we’re all about being outside and enjoying the amenities in the Hudson Valley. There are plenty of events, fairs and festivals for us to attend.

We can also explore local swimming holes and lakes in the area. Thankfully, there are beaches that we can dip into within the Hudson Valley this summer.

One of the most popular beaches in the area is the Kingston Point Beach in Kingston. Also in the Ulster County area, we can check out Minnewaska Lake Beach in Gardiner as well.

Recently, the Sullivan County, NY Government made a post on social media about Lake Superior State Park. They included that this park and beach has officially opened for the 2026 season in Bethel.

I’ve been to this park and beach and it truly is such a hidden gem in the Hudson Valley. I love that you can also have a picnic and rent boats on site too!

In addition to visiting local beaches, we can relax by this popular pool this summer as well.
