Upstate NY Corgi Racing Has Gone Viral in New Video
A new level of cuteness and chaos has been unlocked at an upstate New York county fair after its corgi race devolved into an absolute free-for-all.
County fair organizers certainly know which special ingredients to add to their events to make them memorable. While many Dutchess County, NY residents will tell you that the must-try experience at the Dutchess County Fair are the famous 4-H milkshakes, there was a different star a little further north.
Corgi Racing at the Altamont Fair
The corgi race at the Altamont Fair near Albany, NY may not have started as the prime attraction, but after videos of the event have gone viral across the country, organizers can be sure to expect a bump in next year's event. Where to begin?

If we're honest, it was very generous for the spectacle to be called a race in the first place. In the video below, scores of corgis can be seen at the starting line with little-to-no idea what to do after the starting gun went off.
In what can only be described as adorable chaos, the corgis mill around, running in every direction except for the finish line. Luckily, it seems like owners and dogs alike got their acts together for the final race of the night (below).
To be fair, there are no losers in a corgi race, as dogs, owners, and spectators were all treated to one of the sweetest spectacles in faux sports. Closer to the Hudson Valley, the Dutchess County Fair offers some similar attractions, including pig racing and dock dogs, every week.
