It has been a hot topic around the Hudson Valley for quite some time, especially in the local mom groups and those looking for spots to host kiddie birthday parties - the roller skating rink in Hyde Park.

After abruptly and officially closing their doors back in April of 2025, Hyde Park Roller Magic's 'effective immediately' closure had many wondering what was happening, as well as the future of skating at this iconic spot. Reports indicated that new ownership would be taking over the site.

Hyde Park Roller Magic has new ownership after nearly 8 years! The new owner is a successful and respected local businessman who has already generated considerable interest in the property.

The Hyde Park Roller Rink Officially Opens Sunday, July 26th

After hearing lots of chatter, watching social media posts that teased with a 'coming soon' and seeing signage changes outside the Albany Post Road (Route 9) location, the word is out, and the NEW Hyde Park Roller Rink will officially open for business on Sunday, July 26th, for a grand opening!

The wait is finally over! We’re so excited to officially open the Hyde Park Roller Rink this Sunday, July 26, from 12 PM–6 PM.

Anticipating a big crowd, the staff is encouraging those who plan to attend to please buy your tickets ahead of time, and fill out the necessary waiver before you arrive on site.
