I've been lucky enough to work in radio since 1989 and for all these years, whenever I knew that it was someone's birthday I played a special song, or songs, for them to help them celebrate their special day.

That got me thinking. What if I never worked in radio, what song or songs would I call the station and request? Here's my somewhat eclectic list.

I first heard about Julie Roberts back in 2004 and I was blown away. I never understood why she didn't have more hits. I love this song plus 'Wake up Older' which is one of those haunting songs you just have to learn all of the words to.

I have been a fan of Eric Church from the beginning. If I had my way I would simply play his albums in their entirety during my show!

The Eagles stated in the recent documentary "History of the Eagles", that if Linda Ronstadt hadn't performed this song, it would have never become a hit for them.

I bought Soul Gravy by Cross Canadian Ragweed when it first came out in 2004. They have a great sound. They're country and rock and they just kick you-know-what. This song was originally release by Ray Wylie Hubbard but they put their own mark on it.

Waylon, need I say more? I grew up listening to him and if you ever hear Waylon blaring from someone's car beside you at a traffic light, look over and you'll probably see me.

Okay, I need 2 from Waylon.

It's no secret that I am also a big fan of Country newcomer, Eric Paslay. I was so bummed that I didn't get to see him when he was at the Dutchess County Fair last year.

I have every one of Jason Aldean's albums, I think that says it all.

I could go on and on, but I think that's enough for now. Thanks for listening and watching! Start making a list of some of your favorite songs, because as I mentioned on the air, we're going to start doing a birthday block for you and your family and friends during the Wolf Free Ride at 5. I'll let you know when it starts and how you can submit your songs, so be ready!
