Is the Hudson Valley Ready for Another Baseball Team?

If you want to take your family to see a ball game, you don't have to travel very far, simply head to Dutchess Stadium. The Hudson Valley Renegades have been here since 1994. Originally, they were part of the Texas Ranger ball club but they've been affiliated with Tampa Bay Devil Rays since 1996.

Starting this May, you'll have another choice here in the Hudson Valley. You will be able to head to Delano-Hitch Stadium in Newburgh to see the Newburgh Newts. According to the East Coast Baseball League, the 2015 ECBL regular season will open on Wednesday, May 20, when six inaugural teams take to the field.

There will be a total of 60 games during the regular season, then an All-Star break in July with the 2015 season wrapping up on Tuesday, August 4, followed by the post-season playoffs. Click here for the schedule.
