If you are getting ready to file your 2014 taxes like most of us, you may want to make sure you do it electronically this year. In years past if you filed with a paper return it was usually proccesed quickly and if you are due a refund, the check was issued pretty quickly. Not so much this year.

According to KTVQ, The IRS has had budget cuts, and people who file paper tax returns could wait an extra week for their refund or possibly longer. And if there are errors or questions with your return, you will also face delays.

IRS budget cuts are also resulting in several other changes:

Fewer audits, Less taxpayer help and a possible two-day shutdown after tax season.
