In Touch: May is Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.This week Ellen Pendegar the Chief Executive Officer from the Mental Health Association of Ulster County joined us on In Touch to discuss important topics concerning Mental Health and new legislation that will help schools with mental health education and programs.

It is important that we realize that there may be people in our lives that struggle with a mental health issue and we may not even know they are having a difficult time. It helps if we can be aware and offer help. Ellen does a great job during this interview of spelling out how we can do just that plus she gives us an overview of how far we have come in recognizing and treating mental health over the last 60 years.
