In Touch: Anderson Center for Autism
Each week on ‘In Touch’, our locally produced public affairs program, I have the pleasure of talking with individuals and organizations from all over the Hudson Valley. We focus on non-profit organizations and volunteers who are working hard to help make all of our communities better places to live, work, and raise our families.
This week, Eliza Bozenski; Director of Anderson Foundation for Autism stopped by our studies to talk about The Anderson Center for Autism, April being Autism Awareness Month; and all that has been going on at Anderson.
Some of the topics we discussed were their residential program, day students, and the autism spectrum. Something that we had talked about on a previous show has now come to be and that is the Anderson Center Clinic, where they provide diagnostic services, provide consultation, and share their expertise with individuals and families.
There are some upcoming events that are not only fun but also provide an additional opportunity for the community to not only inter-act with the students, but to also help with funding; as so many organizations are being asked to do more with less. Eliza says it so much better than I can, so here’s this week’s edition of In Touch.
