Sometimes being an adult is just tough.

If you don't know, I have been divorced for some time now and one of the things that I have taken a bunch of pride in being single is that I actually proved to myself that I can take care of myself. LOL!

No really, I'm an adult that tries to pay his bills on time, I handle the grocery shopping and cleaning and to be honest most of those things I have found that I actually like doing. The one thing that I have a hard time with is laundry.

I really have never been good at it. I've shrunk things, I've had the colors and whites mix and ruined numerous shirts and such but nothing as bad as what happened to me the other night.

I had my two youngest kids with me for the night and when we got home from my daughters soccer practice I decided that I was going to do a quick load of laundry. So I grab all of her sweaty soccer stuff, some of my sons dirty clothes and changed out of the clothes that I was wearing to make it a full load. The problem? I forgot to check my pockets for anything! Amateur mistake, right?

I was wearing cargo shorts so I had some things in the big pockets on the side. What did I forget to take out? A full pack of cigarettes. When I tell you there was tobacco EVERYWHERE! It's going to take me a week to get it all out of our clothes.

Best part of my disaster was when my son saw what happened he said to me "see Dad, smoking is going to kill you!" I think it might be time to give them up!
