
Hunting and Trapping Licenses Available Now
For the hunters out there, nows the time to purchase your 2019-2020 Hunting and Trapping license.
The Department of Environmental Conservation announced on Monday August 5th, that "sporting licenses and Deer Management Permits (DMPs) for the 2019-20 season are now on sale."
Licenses can be obtained by calling 866-933-2257, in person or online.
Hunting and trapping licenses are good from September 1, 2019, until August 31, 2020. The fishing license is good for 365 from the day of purchase.
When it comes to hunting and trapping in New York State, DEC Commissioner Seggos says "Whether they are searching for a prized buck, a bear, or smaller game, they can find it in New York. Buying a license helps support DEC's many important conservation efforts and is the first step before heading out next season to safely and responsibly enjoy this great sport."
DEC call centers are now open with extended hours from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays until October 1st.
