Humans Of New York

I'm sure many of you have been down to New York City and have seen some questionable outfits, hairdo's and unique people walk by. That's what I love about New York. You see people of all shapes, sizes, colors, personalities and it brings the city to life. I came across this great website, Humans Of New York, when I was on tumblr one day. It has now become one of the sites I visit daily.

Brandon Stanton moved to New York when his job in Chicago didn't quite work out, he didn't know what he was going to do, but he loved taking pictures. He had collected hundreds of pictures of people and things around the city and was planning to blog about the different boroughs they were from. Brandon then started talking to the subjects of his photos and just like that, Humans of New York was created. His photos are beautiful, yet simple and the quotes he gets from New Yorkers are priceless. HONY shows just how diverse New York is. It will make anyone think twice about the stereotypes they have about New Yorkers and remind people that we're all just human.
