Hudson Valley School Named One Of State’s Safest Districts
A Dutchess County school is making headlines for being ranked as one of the safest districts in New York State.
Arlington Central School District was ranked as the 32nd safest school in upstate New York by New York Upstate. The ranking comes from a Niche report, which uses public reviews and data.
In the report, Arlington CSD aced nearly every category. The categories where the grades weren't up to par were diversity and food, receiving a B+ for both.
Arlington was also ranked as the 55th district with the best teachers in the state, 66th best place to teach, and the 83rd safest district in the entire state.
A number of Westchester schools also ranked in the top 50 for safest districts in the state, according to New York Upstate. Nanuet CSD placed 40th, North Salem at 33, Ardsley ranked 25th, Dobbs Ferry at 24, Rye CSD came in at 10, Rye Neck at 5, and Yorktown Heights placed as the 3rd safest district in New York State.
