Thursday, April 24, 2025 - The Tivoli Fire Department gets a boost from Texas Road House in Kingston, New York. Present the flyer from the Tivoli Fire Department's Facebook page when you have your meal that night between 4 PM and 9 PM, and Texas Roadhouse will donate 10% of your total food purchases to the fire department.

Sunday, April 27, 2025 - Join the Clintondale Fire Department for a Pancake Breakfast complete with pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, coffee, tea, and juice. The breakfast will be held at the firehouse at 1063 Route 44 55 in Clintondale from 8 AM to 12 PM.

Sunday, April 27, 2025 - The Washington Heights Fire Company is holding a Pancake Breakfast at the firehouse at 10 Ohio Place in Middletown, New York, from 7:30 AM to 12 PM. Enjoy pancakes, French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, coffee, tea, and juice. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $6 for children, and 3 and under eat free.

Proceeds from the breakfast will support the fire department's 100 Years of Service Celebration. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for fellow first responders and seniors, children are $ 6, and those under 2 are free.

Bloomington Fire Company Will Hold Penny Social

Saturday, May 3, 2025 - The Bloomington Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary is holding a Penny Social. Join them at the firehouse on 14 Taylor Street in Bloomington. Doors open at 6 pm, and the calling will start at 7:30 PM. They plan to have special tables and refreshments for purchase. Support the firehouse and get great stuff.

Esopus Fire Department is Hosting a 5K Run/Walk

Saturday, May 17th, 2025 - The 1st Annual 5K Esopus Fire Department Run/Walk. Registration is going on now, and you can save money by registering before April 25th. Bib and T-shirt pick up is at the firehouse on May 15th at 1142 Broadway in Esopus, New York. The race will be held inside the confines of the Marist Brothers Estate. Follow the fire department's social media for more details.

Old (Very Old) Upstate NY Firehouses Look to New Life!

This is a fun gallery. We found some very old firehouses scattered across Upstate New York. And we see what they are "up to" today. Some are empty and waiting for a second life. Some have been magically transformed into private residences. Some have been turned into commercial use, such as a brewery or coffee shop. Some are still active fire companies! But still, these old fire sentinels live on as a memory of their importance to their home neighborhoods from 50, 75, and even100 years ago.
