Intriguing Animal Events In Cornwall, New York This March
The year started at the Hudson Highlands Nature Center (HHNC) with a new name. Now they are off and running with a full schedule of events for 2024.
The HHNC was the first place I went as a child to learn about Hudson Valley Wildlife. Fast forward 50 years and they have multiple locations and lots of monthly programs.
Learn How Our Dogs Are Not So Distant Relatives to Wolf in Cornwall, New York
Next Saturday, March 9th you are invited to Wolves to Workers. Join Environmental Educators to find out more about our trusted companion the dog. Learn about how domesticated wolves became the dogs we love today.
It is a ticketed event that starts at 10 AM at the Nature Center on Muser Road in Cornwall, New York.

On March 16th you can join the Owl Prowl. This event meets at the HHNC's location at 25 Boulevard in Cornwall and runs from 7 PM to 9 PM.
You will learn about owls and get to meet some up close. You do need to register and this is a paid ticket event. Be sure to dress for the weather.
Another March event at the HHNC is the Rabbit Ramble of March 23rd. You will learn about New York's bunny population and what to do if you discover baby bunnies. The event starts at 10 AM and this event requires tickets and reservations.
Looking ahead to April the HHNC is looking for vendors for the Hudson Highlands Nature Center's Earth Day Celebration of Saturday, April 20th from 11 AM to 3 PM.
