Howe Caverns: A Tour So Good, It Will Literally Knock Your Panties Off
It's been a long time since I last went to Howe Caverns, but clearly I need to go back.
Have You Ever Been To Howe Caverns?
If you're looking for a unique experience and tour right in your own backyard, Howe Caverns is the place to be.
For those who have never been, Howe Caverns is the largest show cave in the Northeast and it's located in Howe, New York in Schoharie County.
Guests who visit will travel between 160 to 200 feet underground to experience the 1.25 mile tour filled with limestone formations and an underground river. It really is quite the experience!
Howe Caverns: A Tour So Great It'll Blow Your Panties Off!
This may seem like an exaggeration, but it most definitely happened. Sort of.
Howe Caverns took to social media to share an unusual photo that had everyone talking. The Upstate New York tourist attraction shared the following picture to Facebook:
Do you see what we see? Yup, that's a pair of underwear.
Howe Caverns captioned the photo:
Our tours are SO good, they apparently blow your panties right off
We have so many questions...
So do we if we're being honest.
The comment section below the photo might be the funniest comment section we saw in a long time with one commenter adding:
Is this a variation of the mile high club?? 500 ft below club
Another post states:
Howe did those get there?
More logical heads prevailed in the comments with many folks saying that the underwear probably got stuck on their clothing in the laundry.
But we're going to pretend it has everything to do with how amazing the tours are!
Many Years Of Howe Caverns Viral Moments
Naturally, that photo has gone viral. But this isn't the first time Howe Caverns has the spotlight on them.
There was a short period of time, 6 years to be exact, that Howe Caverns hosted Naked in a Cave events. Guests would visit the underground cave and bear it all and walk around in the nude while taking in the limestone sights.
Then, there was that time in June of 2025 where Upstate, New York was getting hammered with rain and Howe Caverns flooded.
