As you're aware, CJ and I are on a mission to become Townsquare Media's Employee of The Month. We posted a terrible video of an example that CJ thought would win us at least an Employee of the Month nomination.

Like I said, it's a terrible attempt for us. So, I decided it's time to do some research. How can CJ and I obtain this Employee of Month status? Google has given me countless articles, lists and advice.

McDonald's gave us a clear view of what they look for in an Employee of The Month:

Employees are chosen based on their ability to demonstrate behaviours that deliver a great experience for our customers and their fellow employees.
Valued behaviours include: looking for ways to make the experience special for every McDonald’s customer; working with the team to deliver high standards; and having energy and enthusiasm.
We can do that! WikiHow.Com has a list of 6 ways for us to win that EOTM. Here are some that CJ and myself might try:
  1.  Go beyond the call of duty in areas that are your strengths. This means doing extra work where you know it will pay dividends. Don't overstretch yourself but do put in a stellar performance. Perhaps writing a longer report, doing lengthier research, following up customer's needs more than the ordinary - all of these are possible ways.
  2. Be loyal to the company. Promote it properly, fairly and with good grace. Even in social settings, be sure to never say a bad work against your employer. And for goodness' sake - never leave stories or tell-tales about where you work online. People do get found out.
  3. Support other colleagues. Cheer on colleagues who are awarded the employee of the month award. Show that you are supportive and not at all jealous. How you behave in front of others reflects on your team spirit and loyalty to the company

Okay, these all seem too simple. There has to be a trick to it. What do you suggest CJ and I do to become Townsquare Media's Employee of The Month? Have you been an Employee of the Month? How'd you swing it?  How do you feel about bribes? I'm kidding...I think. Let us know on Facebook!
