Hot Days Cold Lemonade and Rodney Atkins

It's hot and summer is right around the corner. Time for lemonade! The definition of lemonade is a lemon flavored drink that has been sweeten with sugar or honey. Nothing beats a tall glass of lemonade on a hot summer day.

I am a fan of the homemade version of lemonade where you squeeze real lemons and going light on the sugar and heavy on the Ice. My family has a recipe for what we call "grown-up" lemonade also know as "Minur Bucket" that is a hit at Summer BBQ's. Take a simple minnow bucket (small Styrofoam cooler for bait fish) filled with Ice, one part vodka, 3 parts lemonade and lemon and lime slices to taste.

Lemonade is not exclusive to America, it can be found all over the world in different varations. This year when your mixing up a batch think about mixing up the recipe or not. After all good old curbside lemonade from the neighbor's kid can be just as refreshing and a great way to support your local neighborhood economy. Drink Up!
