Historic Nyack New York Home For Sale

While scrolling social media earlier this week, I saw an interesting post from a random Facebook page called American Historical Houses.

It looked somewhat questionable, but the page explained that a home once owned by James Ellicot. Apparently, Ellicott was the inventor of the air brake. I put the address into Zillow, 99 River Road, and confirmed that yes the historical home of James Ellicott is for sale.

He built a home at 99 River Road in Nyack, New York back in 1891 as a summer home. The "one of a kind Cobblestone Craftsman-inspired home" Zillow writes sits on 1.40 acres and features feature "extensive and original details including hand-hewn benches, moldings, stone fireplaces, and surprise built-ins and cubbies."
