Help The National Weather Service During Wednesday’s Snow Storm
Yes, we're back at it. The Hudson Valley is expecting yet another winter storm.
Today's storm should be quick, considering the temperature for Thursday is up in the 50's. With that being said, we're expected to get a dusting to 3 inches of snow around the Valley later this afternoon. Some meteorologist are saying it will effect your commute home from work and many schools have already cancelled afternoon activities and dismissed the kids early.
Every time there's a storm we always give the weather people a hard time. We either get more or less snow than the told us and it just screws up our whole day. But they have a hard job that can change with one quick breeze.
The Nation Weather Service in New York is asking that you help them out a bit this time around. They tweeted out earlier today that they need help figuring out when exactly the snow will start to fall throughout the state.
They suggest you download the mPING app. This app will help meteorologist use their radar information, plus our real time information to create a better radar algorithm. Which in the end, will work out for us with more accurate weather reports.
Lets team up for good today during another Hudson Valley snow storm.
