We need more of this in the Hudson Valley.

Anytime we can help kids in the Hudson Valley, we try to do what we can by spreading the word but we can't do it without your help and when it involves something a child is trying to accomplish that should be celebrated, we try even harder.

With that in mind, we got a message from a Hudson Valley dad that wrote us to see if we could help his son become an Eagle Scout. He wrote us,

"I am writing to you on behalf of my son Owen and asking if you could help him on his path to completion of him becoming an Eagle Scout in troop 10 town of Newburgh Dan Leghorn fire house. Owen will be working on his Eagle Scout project at the Hudson-Valley SPCA at 940 Little Britain road New Windsor NY 12553 his project is to help the shelter by staining and installing an apoxy floor product in 7 shelters to house dogs he is also installing dog runs around each one he is asking if you could help put the word out that he and troop 10 will be there this Sunday September 15 from 9am to 3 pm or later anytime wishing to come by and see about scouting or to make any type of donations like food litter bedding would be appreciated and if you are able to mow or weedwacking come by at anytime they could use the help.anyone looking to adopt a pet please come by also there are plenty of nice pets looking for a good home. Thank you for your help in our mission to teach young adults to be great leaders."

If you can help, the Hudson-Valley SPCA event is at 940 Little Britain Road in New Windsor this Sunday from 9-3pm. Make sure you say HI to Owen and all of the kids from Troop 10.
