It's been a tradition at my house for as long as I can remember, watching Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve and seeing the ball drop in Times Square. In the past few years I've switched back and forth between what is now Ryan Seacrest on ABC and Carson Daly on NBC, but either way it always ends with the ball drop in Times Square.

As with anything though, traditions vary around the world, and every year I always have fun seeing what other places do to ring in the new. Here's a sampling.

Atlanta: They do a Peach Drop every New Year's Eve at Underground Atlanta, which completely makes sense. I don't get the peanut M&M though, see for yourself.

Pittsburgh: My hometown, holds what they call First Night every New Year's Eve and many events are indoors. There's comedy, dancing, movies, and more!

San Francisco: They have so many events going on for New Year's Eve that it would be a great place to be for next year. The Fireworks show is always the biggest and best.

Sydney, Australia: Since they are 16 hours ahead of us, New Year's Eve has come and gone in Australia, but here's this year's Firework's celebration.

If you're like me though, there's nothing like the ball drop in Times Square. Here's a link to a live webcast so you won't miss a second of the excitement in Times Square from the comfort of your home. However you celebrate, Happy New Year to you and yours from me and mine!
