The suspect is still on the loose and New York State Police are looking for the public to help in finding who is responsible for the robbery.

According to the Times Herald Record, a man walked into the Mobil gas station at 279 Bloomingburg Road in Wallkill on Saturday night and demanded cash.

New York State Trooper, Steven Nevel told the Record that around 9 p.m. Saturday, a man walked into the Mobil gas station holding a handgun, asked the teller for money and fled on foot.

Nevel also said that the man is described as a white male, about 5-foot-7 and weighing about 170 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black jacket, a ski mask, and white and blue running shoes.

The man did grab about $400 from the register before he left the gas station on foot.

As pol;ice continue their investigation, they are asking that if anybody has any information on the robbery to please give them a call at (845)-344-5300.
