The wait is over as the newest Shake Shack in Connecticut is set to open this week.

The official opening day for the new Shake Shack is Wednesday, December 15 at the Danbury Fair. According to patch.com, the Shake Shack will be open Monday through Sunday from 11 AM until 10 PM. The restaurant also has both indoor and outdoor dining, and will feature a drive up window where you can use the new Shake App to order, then just drive thru and pick up.

If your wondering about the menu items, the new Shake Shack will feature all their menu favorites including the Shack Burger, Chick'n Shack, crinkle cut fries, their famous shakes, and Shack-made Lemonade.

Shake Shack is considered by many as a destination burger joint. Spoonuniversity.com ranks Shake Shack #1 out of 15 burger restaurants beating In-and-Out Burger and Steak n' Shake.

The company's mission statement from their official site, shakeshack.com, is to stand for something. Since it's early days when they got their start as a hot dog cart in New York City, until they grew into a global business, the company has stood by the philosophy of taking care of their team and customers, and supporting the local community through donations, events, and volunteering. In fact the new Shake Shack will be donating one dollar for every sandwich ordered during their opening on Wednesday to the "Hole In The Wall Gang Camp", which gives seriously ill children a fun summer camp experience.

According to dailyvoice.com, the company's Chief Development Officer Andrew McCaughan is pretty excited about the new store opening in Danbury and the convenience of the new drive through option. He offered this statement:

We know it’s a busy time of the year, so we’re excited that our Danbury Shack features our Shack Track Drive-Up Window as an expedited pick-up option for guests pre-ordering via our app.
