What in the World is Galentine's Day?

What is Galentine's Day? According to Merriam-Webster, Galentine's Day is "a day for women to celebrate their friendships with their lady friends. It’s Valentine’s Day with your gals." The word was added to the dictionary back in September of 2022.

Personally, I learned of Galentine's Day from Leslie Knop from the NBC show Parks and Rec.
