Forget Phil, What Does the NY Groundhog Say?

Today was an important day. Today America let a rodent decide if we would see six more weeks of winter or start enjoying an early spring.

Laugh all you want, but the people in Punxsutawney Pennsylvania take February 2nd very seriously. As I'm sure you're aware today is Groundhogs Day. Unlike Bill Murray, today hasn't repeated itself...at least not yet. However, we did let Punxsutawney Phil, a beloved groundhog, come out of hiding to determine if he sees his shadow. Unfortunately, Phil saw his shadow around 7am this morning in Pennsylvania.

I'm upset about it, because I'm completely over winter. However, New York has its own Phil by way of Staten Island Chuck. Chuck has been around for a few years and even made headlines after biting Mayor Bill DeBlasio. Today, Chuck is making headlines for a more positive reason. Chuck didn't see his shadow which means...spring will be here soon.

I recommend we all stick to our New York roots and give positive vibes behind Chuck's decision.
