Fire Breaks Out at Poughkeepsie Daycare Center

At around 10:45 this morning Poughkeepsie 911 received a report of a fire at 232 Mansion Street in the city. Upon arrival firefighters confirmed the fire at the Anderson Family Daycare and called for additional manpower and equipment.

Firefighters from the Poughkeepsie, Arlington, and Fairview fire departments fought the fire while simultaneously making sure that the structure was unoccupied.

The fire resulted in substantial damage to the 2 1/2 story structure. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
