While the holiday season is a time of excitement and anticipation, laughter and smiles, joy and peace, it can also be a bit stressful. If you're like me, at lunch time I am working on my to-do list for the holidays. Whether that means grocery shopping, gift making, or shopping for the perfect gift, I can feel my stress level rise as I add yet another item to the list.

What if I told you that you could actually spend your lunchtime relaxed and getting back into the holiday spirit? If you're in Sullivan County, you can with the free holiday concerts in the lobby of the Government Center starting December 8.

These concerts will be offered by the band and choral groups from area high schools at noon. Admission is free and open to the public. Here's the schedule.

December 8 – Liberty High School Honors Orchestra
December 11 – Nesin Cultural Arts’ The Treble Makers
December 12 – Liberty Middle School Jazz Band
December 13 – Monticello High School Chamber Music Ensemble
December 14 – Liberty High School Band
December 15 – Liberty High School Mixed Orchestra
December 18 – Livingston Manor Band & Chorus
December 20 – Liberty Honors Chorus
December 21 – Roscoe Central School Band & Choir

Stop by and hear the sounds of the holiday season and bring some cheer back to work with you.
