It was in the early hours of Friday morning that Migliorelli Farms had part of their property go up in flames. According to a Facebook post from the Tivoli Fire Department, the call came in shortly after 2 AM.

Both the Tivoli Fire Department and the Red Hook Fire Company responded to an automatic mutual aid call. They were dispatched to a possible barn fire on Linden Farm Road in Red Hook. When the fire companies arrived they discovered the fire was consuming multiple interconnected buildings.

It was determined that the structure involved in the fire was used for storage. There was grain, machinery, and equipment inside plus the building was home to a local brewery. Additional aid was called in along with additional water sources.

It took until approximately 11 AM to get the fire out and clear the area. On-scene assistance included Red Hook Fire, Germantown Fire, Clermont Fire, Rhinebeck Fire Company, Milan Fire, Hillside Fire, West Clinton Fire, East Clinton Fire, Ulster Hose, Rhinecliff Fire, Livingston Fire, Greenport Fire, Claverack Fire, Taghkanic Fire, City of Hudson, Dutchess County 911, Dutchess County Fire Investigation, & Dutchess County Sherriff Office, & a vintage drafting fire truck from Miglorelli Farms. All companies worked together to knock down this fire and ensure everyone remained safe.

Tivoli Fire Department sent a big thank you to all those agencies who helped battle the blaze along with a few others. They sent appreciation out to the Red Hook Ladies Auxiliary who provided coffee and donuts and Bard College which provided the firefighters with breakfast after the 8-hour firefight.

As you might imagine the was significant damage to the farm which is why a Go Fund Me Page was created to help with costs. Set up on Friday in hopes of raising $75,000 as of Saturday the page was almost to goal with hopes of it going higher. In the description, the items lost were described as follows.

.... the barn complex suffered a devastating fire that destroyed not only their barns and buildings but the farm's major products and equipment. Included in the loss were multiple trucks, tractors, and other equipment along with products ready to sell. Products such as hay for his horse customers and mulch which was delivered in hopes of planting tomatoes, eggplants, and peppers this upcoming week. An International truck fully loaded with the farm's last load of rye, queued to be delivered this morning to a local distillery. And additionally, fertilizer needed to be put down today for corn and mixed vegetables before this week's rain. (via Go Fund Me)

Tivoli Firefighter Rescues Baby Raccoon from Migliorelli Barn Fire

In a sweet side story to this devasting fire, it has also been reported that the firefighters were able to save a couple of baby raccoons.
