At least "dumb" to you?

We got talking on the Wakin' Up with CJ and Jess Show about the rumors about talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and how she has some rather interesting rules for any people that work either with or for her.

The one rumored rule that seems to have a lot of people scratching their heads including us, is that she doesn't allow anyone that is talking to her to make direct eye contact with her. So if you talk to her you have to look away from her eyes or she will ignore you and act like you aren't even speaking.

As far as Ellen is concerned the rule is not true. According to the New York Post, Ellen has no clue where her no eye contact rule came from, at least that is what she told some of her staffers during one of their Zoom calls recently. She said, "I don’t know where it started. Please talk to me. Look me in the eye. It’s crazy, just not true, I don’t know how it started."

It does seem like a pretty dumb work rule but I do think that some people in a position of power do have some really crazy rules that they make some of their employees follow. Do you have a boss like that? Are there any dumb rules they make you follow? Call or text us through the Wolf mobile app.

I know that many years ago when I first started my DJ service here in the Hudson Valley, I had a few rules for the guys that would work with me. Rule one was that none of us could have any facial hair at a gig. Back then I always thought beards looked unprofessional.

The second rule was that at no point during a job were you ever to sit down, I always thought that looked lazy or that you were bored. The last rule I had was that if you wanted to eat during the job, you would have to take your food outside and eat in the car.

YES, I was a crappy boss back then....LOL!
