Do You Have Any Food You Can Spare?
Help us help the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley with Jam the Van.
Thanksgiving is just about a week away and most of us have our holiday plans all set up but unfortunately some families are having a hard time putting food on the table this year and with you help, we can make sure that the people that need help this year, get it.
It's time once again to Jam the Van with non perishable food items, all to benefit the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. The food bank does a great job all year long distributing food to most of our local food pantries but this time of year they struggle with keeping the shelves stocked because there are so many families that need a little help.
Here is where we can jump in and help. If you can do us a favor and put together a bag or box of some non perishable food items that you can spare and drop them off at one of the Shop Rite locations that we will be at starting today.
Jam the Van food collections will be done at the Shop Rite on Rt 9 in Poughkeepsie and Fishkill, Shop Rite on Rt 82 in LaGrangville, Shop Rite on Rt 299 in New Paltz and the Shop Rite on Miron Ln in Kingston.
If you just want to make a money donation, you can do that as well at each Shop Rite and the Food Bank can really stretch your donation to feed even more families.
Jess and I will be at the Kingston Shop Rite on Saturday after 1 p.m. so if you can stop by and say hi, we would love to see you.
