The Dixie Chicks are heading to the silver screen this August.

The iconic female country trio, best known for late '90s/early millennium hits such as "Travelin' Solider," "Cowboy Take Me Away" and "Wide Open Spaces," embarked on their DCX MMXVI World Tour in 2016-2017, and now fans who missed it have a chance to experience it for the first time.

DCX MMXVI — In Concert will play in select movie theaters for one night only on August 7.

The tour, which began in Belgium in April 2016 and ended in Canada in April 2017, was the first time the Dixie Chicks had toured the United States and Australia as a headlining act in a decade. The updated show was more rock and guitar driven than their former shows and contained a list of covers from Bob Dylan to Beyonce, plus many reworks of the group's classic hits.

Still known as the biggest selling female band of all-time in the U.S. (ahead of other major acts of the era such as TLC, Spice Girls and Destiny's Child), it's no surprise that the concert experience is being transported to the big screen.
