District Social: Beacon, NY's Go-To Entertainment Complex
In June of 2021, those looking to finally get out of the house after being cooped up during the COVID-19 pandemic had something to look forward to. A new entertainment venue with a bar, arcade, axe throwing, and live music stage was getting ready to open its doors.
District Social in Beacon, New York located on Fishkill Avenu opened its doors on June 4th, 2021. Hudson Valley residents flooded District Social. There was something for everyone in the family. Fun arcade games for kids and parents alike, axe throwing for a fun night on the town with friends, and pool tables for the pool shark in your life. Local bands came in to play and District Social even became a hot spot for Hudson Valley line dancers. The Fishkill Avenue location in Beacon sat right next to Industrial Arts Brewery and now it looks like one of the buildings is making room for the other.
District Social in Beacon, Closing in June 2024
After 3 years of entertaining the Hudson Valley, District Social in Beacon has announced they are closing its doors. In a message posted on social media District Social begins their statement with "We have exciting news to share!" From there they explain that Industrial Arts Brewing Company will be taking over the District Social space. District Social explains:
This transition will bring you some of the same great attractions and even more space to enjoy.
It sounds like Industrial Arts will possibly be keeping the video games or maybe the axe-throwing lanes. Either way, we're looking forward to seeing what happens.
