One of a Kind Theatre is Located in New Paltz, New York

The Denizen Theatre is the only European-style Cinema Arts Venue in New York. This makes it not only a unique place to catch a film, but it is also a great place to see films you can't easily catch in other movie houses around the Hudson Valley.

The Hudson Valley is rich with independent style theatre, like the Rosendale Theater, the Beacon Theater, and Upstate Films. and places that show independent and small release films, but the Denizen offers a unique experience you can't get in the other venues. Originally designed as a black box performance theatre, it was transformed recently and is now offering the arts community this special way to view films.

Located at Water Street Market in New Paltz, it is easy to access, and they have smartly put together a package that includes dinner and a movie. They have partnered with The Parish restaurant, also located at Water Street Market. The Parish offers a $25 dinner selection available to moviegoers. The Denizen also has Beer and Wine available during the show.

New Paltz Theatre Holds Monthly Comedy Nights

Movies aren't the only thing at the Denizen; they also offer a Comedy Night on the fourth Friday of the Month at 9 PM. There is one scheduled for this Friday. The comedy show follows the monthly 4th Friday community event at Water Street Market, now in its third year! You can enjoy pop-up food vendors, live music, and kids' activities in the market before the show from 6-9 PM.
