The big social media trend the past few days has been aging yourself using the FaceApp.  While it's funny and a ton of fun to see how you will look in 20 years or how you may have looked when you were younger, it could be causing a security concern.

The old me was scary looking and the young me was spot on, which in itself should have made me wonder but I've now deleted the app.

According to the New York Post, this app, which was created by Russians, could be allowing them to have access to all of your pictures and videos.

I know that doesn't really seem like that big of a deal but what if they used your face for various reasons without your knowledge or permission?

You may not realize it but if someone didn't actually take the picture of you, they can't use it without your permission.

Have fun, play with the pictures a bit and then delete the app.

This could be just a hoax or scare but I'll be honest, I'm not taking that chance.
