Day Five Five Cities in Five Days: Poughkeepsie

What a great week it's been.

To be honest, I have to say I'm sad to see this week come to an end and of course we had to go out with a bang!

If you missed it, our last day of 5 cities in 5 days landed us at Sweet Obsessions on Route 376 in Poughkeepsie on Friday morning.

Sweet Obsessions received the most votes out of all of our nominated places and we have to say that after spending the morning there, we understand why.

Christine, Alex and Bill we so accommodating on Friday, they took care of everything from the coffee to my now favorite sweet treat in the world, their crumb cake, minus the cake part. Christine made us a batch of just the crumbs that were soon good! Here is what they looked like...

A really cool thing they have at Sweet Obsessions is the "window of giving" that they have set up where any customer can purchase a dollar amount and write something on a coffee cup sleeve. People write all kinds of different things like, "If your having a bad day", "Recently divorced" and if any of those things are something that you are dealing with, you can take the sleeve off the window and receive what ever is written on the back for free. You never know who is going to swing by when we hit the road and on Friday we were lucky enough to grab a few minutes on the air with Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro. Marc told us about how excited he is to be a part of the Special Olympics that are coming the Hudson Valley soon. He also told us that the County has done some really great improvements over at Dutchess Stadium for the up coming Renegades season. Here is Marc, Me and Jess...

All through out our tour this week we gave everyone a chance to sign up to win VIP passes to the Taste of Country Music Festival and on Friday we had Marc Molinaro pick our grand prize winner and he picked out the name David from Hyde Park. Congrats to David!
