On Wednesday night I will have my phone off and the TV on. Put on the popcorn and pour the wine the 49th Annual CMA awards will be on ABC at 8p and I don't plan to miss a minute. All country music's royalty will be on hand for a big night of awards and performances.

There are special duets schedule like Eric Church with Hank Williams Jr. There will be first time performers like Kelsea Ballerini and Fall Out Boy. Once again Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will bring it all together with their wit and humor. Their jokes and parody songs will cover topics from the Presidential election to divorce in Nashville. Hopefully everyone gets the joke, after all we don't want to have Donald Trump get his feelings hurt.

As always I can guess what my favorite moment of the evening will be but it always seems that something happens none of us ever expected and it steals the show. So I will refrain from stating what I think will be the moment of the show, but I will go on the record that Brad and Carries opening performance will have us ready for a great night of music and awards.

As a warm up re-watch last year's opener.
