UPDATED: Chris Young Recovering after Hand Surgery(Picture)

Obviously, when you're a country super star, and guitar player at that, you need both hands to be in commission.

As I'm sure you've heard, last week Chris Young was hospitalized for sustaining an injury to his left hand. He was preparing a post party snack after his 13th annual Fan Club get together down in Nashville when the accident occurred.

Chris was noticeably absent from CMA Festival this past weekend at LP Field in Nashville. He was undergoing surgery to correct the injury cause by a sharp cooking knife. But no worries, word on the street is that Chris will be making a full recovery. He should be all healed up and rehabilitated by the time he has to hit the road with Deirks Bentley for the "Riser" tour later in July.

UPDATE: Looks like Chris will be in a cast for 6 weeks.
