If you have kids you might have this sweet treat in your freezer and it could make you really sick.

According to the Federal Drug Administration, there are over three thousand cases of frozen ice pops that are being recalled for possible Listeria contamination.

The Ziegenfelder Company of Wheeling, WV is voluntarily recalling approximately 3,000 cases of Budget $aver Cherry Pineapple Monster Pops and Sugar Free Twin Pops because the products have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The affected frozen products were sold in packages of 12 with the brand names Budget $aver Cherry Pineapple Monster Pops and Sugar Free Twin Pops. The pops were shipped to stores across the country and were sold in New York between April 5th through April 19th. You can get the exact UPC codes here.

The voluntary recall is being done after a routine state inspection revealed the Listeria contamination.

If you have purchased the affected ice pops, the company is asking you to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund and if you have any questions you can contact the company at 1-888-683-0379.
