Celebrate Red Hook and Chocolate This Weekend
I'm completely regretting giving up chocolate for the month of November.
I went a little crazy during October when the stores were in full stock of Halloween candy, so I told myself I'd participate in my own made up monthly event. "No Candy November" has been successful for me so far, however temptation has never been stronger.
The Hudson Valley is always popping with fun events during the weekend. This weekend is no exception. On Saturday, November 5th you can enjoy The Red Hook and Chocolate Festival. The festival will take place through the village of Red Hook, with a Hot Chocolate 5k, Chocolate Olympics and chocolate making demos. My sweet tooth is itching right about now. There will also be live music, vendors and even a horse drawn carriage ride to and from WH Baker Chocolate Factory.
Admission for the Red Hook and Chocolate Festival is free and runs from 11am Saturday until 5pm.
The Hudson Valley recently has been a hot spot for chocolate lovers. Fruition Chocolate in Shokan was named the "Best in Competition" at the International Chocolate Awards.
