While on Kelly, Hitch discussed everything from the iconic Message Tree, which sadly was taken down in after the 2024 concert season, the Oral History Initiative and the legacy of the Woodstock Music Festival.

Why Does The Woodstock Music Festival Resonate With So Many Generations?

During the segment, Clarkson asked "Why do you think Woodstock, even for generations that had no idea about it still everybody knows about Woodstock, why do you think it resonates so much with people?" to which Hitch explained:

"The number one thing we hear in the oral histories is they don't remember being cold, they don't remember being hungry, they don't remember the mud, what they remember is everyone around them shared everything they had and everyone cared for each other and their takeaway from that, is that peace is possible."
