Best Ever Pumpkin Carving Trick

By now you have probably gone to a pumpkin patch some where here in the Hudson Valley to grab a few pumpkins for the season.

First I hope you went to a local farm, like Kesicke Farms, Barton Orchards, Fishkill Farms or any of the great local farms.

Second, if you have kids and want a really genius pumpkin carving trick, this will change your jack-o-lantern forever! If you're like me you are going to ask yourself why you didn’t think of this awesome, little Halloween hack before now.

When you carve your pumpkin, do you cut off the top of the pumpkin to get to the guts? I think most people do, and it’s how I always did it until I saw this.

Try cutting off the BOTTOM of the pumpkin instead of the top! That’s right, you cut off the BOTTOM. And when you're done you wont have to struggle to get the candle inside.
