Is the Hudson Valley the new home to the fairy population? It seems like it.

If you've been following along, it seems that tons of fairy homes have been popping up in and around the Hudson Valley, more specifically in Dutchess County.

Earlier this summer Locust Grove in Poughkeepsie held a Fairy House Hunt that let children (and adults) search the grounds for secret fairy houses.

There was also the secret fairy homes along a trail in Hyde Park. Unfortunately, a troll got into the fairy village and vandalized one of the homes and the mailbox with all the fairy mail.

Beacon is the next spot on the Fairy Home trail.

October 4th through October 10th there will be a Fairy Walk. Beacon Fairy Walk is a "a walking theatre production incorporating Beacon’s beautiful landscape. Local artists create the set along the magical path of the play at Beacon's University Settlement Camp" according to their Facebook page.

The Beacon Fairy Walk houses will be on display at several different parks around. Plus they will also be  highlighting "at-home/ independent magical activities."

There's only so much fairies can do, so they're asking for a little help. If you have the time and talent to do so and would like to help create fairy houses or parts of fairy villages you're asked to reach out to beaconfairywalk@gmail.com.

Do you have the magic in you? Will you be searching around Beacon for these new fairy homes?

I'm wondering if fairy houses are as expensive as real homes for sale in the Hudson Valley. Better start saving!
