See Why Santa Would Hire These New York Reindeer
I think it is safe to say that when pigs learn to fly, Santa will be calling up the cuties at Arthur's Acres Animal Sanctuary and asking a few of their pig crew to join the reindeer games. Mikey, Anne Claire, and Lenny are all ready for the gig.
During the hectic holiday season it is good to take a moment to catch your breathe and maybe have a laugh. That is what happened to me the other day when I came across a Facebook post that had 2 pigs dress as reindeer and they looked ready to go.
Sullivan County Animal Sanctuary Shows Off Their Holiday Mood
I had never heard of Arthur's Acres Animal Sanctuary until I came across Hans and Petey doing the best reindeer impersonation. If pigs could fly I am sure Dancer, Doner, and the others would want them on the team.
Don't Take my word for it check out these adorable videos.
The back story of Arthur's Acres is a bit tough to hear but fortunately for Arthur the Piglet it all seems to have worked out for the best. The founder shared how he came across the property for sale, then discovered it had been a "Farm to Table" place that had it's own slaughter house for the animals they raised.
When walking through the property located in Parksville, New York in 2018 they discovered Arthur who at the time was about 3 and half months old. They ended up saving Artur that day and then went to work on buying the property and converting it into the animal sanctuary this it is today.
It is a happy place as you can see from these holiday reels.
Arthur's Acres isn't just for rescued pigs, although they are the majority of the population. The Sanctuary is also home to cats, dogs, chickens and one Frog who you can sponsor to help keep the farm pond maintained.
So why are all these pigs seemingly auditioning to be Santa's reindeer? I think it is so you end up like me watching the videos over and over again and then making a holiday donation for if nothing else the free holiday entertainment.
