Another Winning Lottery Ticket Sold in the Hudson Valley
CHECK YOUR TICKETS!!! The new year is starting off with some big winning across the Hudson Valley.
Nothing makes a new year start off better than winning some serious money and for the second time in the last few days a lucky lottery ticket was sold right in our backyard. First, last week someone in Orange County won $2 million as the second place prize in the Mega Millions drawing.
Second, someone bought a winning Take 5 ticket in Orange County, at the Mobil gas station and convivence store located at 413 N Main St, Monroe, according to Patch. The winning ticket was the only "winner" in the Wednesday January 6th Take 5 drawing and brought one lucky person $62,741.
According to the New York Lottery website, the winning numbers in the Wednesday, January 6th drawing were 05-12-14-34-39. The winner has yet to come forward so if you played, be sure to double check your tickets. Winners have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
To play the New York Lottery game Take 5, players must pick five numbers between one and thirty nine. If a player matches all five numbers they win an estimated $57,575.70. The lottery does offer prizes for players who only match a few numbers, out of the five that are drawn. If you match four numbers you'll get $508.02, if you match three, you'll get $25.66 and if you match only two numbers you get a free "quick pick" play for a future drawing.
The Take 5 lottery drawings take place every night at 10:30 p.m.
