Annual Autism Walk Coming to the Hudson Valley
For fifteen years, families, educators, and volunteers have been walking to raise funds and awareness about Autism. To say that things have changed in the field of Autism during these past fifteen years is an understatement, but the determination and dedication of these individuals hasn't wavered and they are inviting you to walk them again this year.
Th 15th annual Autism Walk & Expo of the Hudson Valley Region will be held on Sunday, April 24 at the track area of the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The event features a one to two-mile walk of the track, and individual and team walkers are encouraged to obtain sponsorships. Although no donation is too small, it would be amazing if every walker could collect pledges of at least $100. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m., and walk-ins are welcome with the first 500 registrants receiving a free gift.
More than 40 organizations representing the local autism care community will be available to provide information and answer questions Refreshments and varied activities are offered for individuals and their families.
