‘A League Of Their Own’ Returning to Theaters
I have to say that I am a huge fan of most movies that are about sports. I mean I loved so many different sports movies from Rudy, Remember the Titans to the Mighty Ducks to many to name but I love them all. One of my favorite movies from back in the '90s was the movie A League of Their Own.
You remember it right? Maybe the quote "There's no crying in baseball" will jog your memory. LOL! Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, Madonna all together to tell the story of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League.
The movie was a breakthrough movie for a bunch of different reasons but according to actress Geena Davis, inspiration was the biggest, she told Today back in 2017 that women still come up to her and share how “A League of Their Own” inspired them to get into sports.
I am one of those people that love seeing my favorite movies over and over and when I get a chance to see them on the big screen again, I try to jump on it. The folks at Fathom Events and TCM Big Screen Classics will be hosting a special event with the movie “A League of Their Own” will be back in theaters on April 26, April 27 and April 29th, according to Simplemost.
Our friends at the Regal Galleria Mall Stadium 16 theaters at the Poughkeepsie Galleria at 2001 South Rd in Poughkeepsie will be showing the movie on April 26th at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. April 27th at 7 p.m. and April 29th at 7 p.m. Get tickets and more information online here.
