‘A Christmas Story’ Pole-Licking Scene Performed on N.Y. Subway [VIDEO]

You know the movie 'A Christmas Story,' right? ("You'll shoot your eye out!") Well, the street-theater group Improv Everywhere decided to re-create the scene where Ralphie and Schwartz watch as Flick gets his tongue stuck on a flagpole—except they didn't do it on a playground, they did it on a New York City subway.

Instead of a flagpole, they used a commuter pole. Gross! But don't worry, it turns out it was a prosthetic tongue and a magnet, so it appeared like he was really stuck. The "fire department" even comes to the rescue after Ralphie and Schwartz get off the subway, leaving poor Flick all alone and stuck to the pole.

I have never seen the original "A Christmas Story", yes, people find it hard to believe that I haven't. My Christmas movie collection is made up of two other classics, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and Its A Wonderful Life... I now promise to purchase this movie and add it to my annual tradition!!!
