Wrapping up a great week of fun in Washingtonville.

It has been one of the best weeks for us as we have been traveling around the whole Hudson Valley trying out some of the best breakfast places that you guys nominated.

The week has taken us all over the place and we ended on Friday at Betty's Country Kitchen on West Main St in Washingtonville and we both agree that we saved the best for last. Betty's is located inside a house that was built back in the 1800's and is owned and operated by Kevin and his family.

Kevin joined us on the air to tell us that he opened up Betty's (named after his mom) about five and a half years ago after retiring from the NYPD and is so grateful to be a part of such a great community like Washingtonville and after spending the morning there, we understand exactly what he was talking about.

Washingtoville has so many things going on year round and this time of year, is the best time to check them out as they get ready for Halloween with what they call Witchingtonville. It happens on Saturday October 19th at 2 p.m. with costume parades, a trunk or treat area and fun for the whole family.

And who can forget about the "Grinch" from last last year causing all kinds of havoc. We heard a rumor that he is making his way back to "Whoville" on Saturday December 7th.

We really had a great time meeting so many great listeners on Friday and can't wait to go back to Betty's Country Kitchen for a well deserved comfort food meal and we think you should as well.
