I remember when Rubik's cube first burst on the scene. People were obsessed with it, there were contests and tournaments, attempts to break World records by solving it in record time or by solving several at once. I couldn't wait to get my hands on one, I thought "I'm reasonably intelligent... how hard can this be"?

I still have that Rubik's cube, and yes it is still unsolved. My younger brother started playing with it one day and on his first try he got it. I can't even begin to tell you how crazy that made me.

Imagine my surprise, delight, and chagrin when I realized that to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Rubik's cube today Google has a virtual cube on it's home page. You can move, flip and switch with just clicks of your mouse. It also keeps track of how many moves you've made so far. Click on the picture below and be ready to waste some serious time at your desk..I mean hone your analytical skills to be able to better perform your job(yeah that's it)
